Raising Sovereign Kids

Teaching a child about money in 2026 means teaching them about two systems at once — the rupee they'll mostly use and the Bitcoin they'll mostly save. The lessons that worked for our parents (save in fixed deposits, trust the bank, the rupee will be fine) have quietly become bad lessons. The math has changed. The teaching has not caught up.

This site is the curriculum I'm building for my own kids. Custody graduation paths — observer mode at five, multisig participant at twelve, full self-custody at seventeen. Allowance flows that teach UTXO thinking without ever saying "UTXO." The case for delayed gratification when your savings compound in scarcity instead of in interest. Conversations a non-technical parent can have with a non-technical child without lying to either of them.

Calibration: if I can't explain it to my nine-year-old, it doesn't belong on this site.

Topics I cover

  • Teaching kids what money really is
  • Age-appropriate Bitcoin conversations
  • Allowance systems that build discipline
  • Saving vs spending habits
  • Raising low-time-preference thinkers
